The next Kailua Service Event is (usually) the LAST Tuesday of the month | 10 am to noon at the Windward YMCA and Daybreak Church.
The last Tuesday of each month at 10am, Kailua Houseless Coalition offers a hot lunch, clean clothing & hot showers, toiletry & snack bags, and outreach services such as housing and job assistance, Veterans services, health & rehab services, spiritual services & more.
We are doing our part to collect tissues, toothbrushes, tampons & feminine products, etc for folks in need.
For December, they could use donations of: insect repellent, toothpaste, chapstick or lip balm, large nail clippers and body wipes. If you or your group has any to contribute, please bring them before the 12/16 date to the front desk at the YMCA. The Y is currently undergoing renovations but just follow the signs to the temporary greeting center under tents on the right as you face the YMCA building.
