Pastor
Rev. Kerry Grogan

Kerry Bea Kesey (Grogan) was born in Santa Cruz, California.  Growing up, she lived in California, Hawaii, Arkansas, and Oregon.   Kerry graduated from Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Oregon with a B.S. in Church, Society and Family.  While in college she met and married her husband, Michael Grogan.  After college they moved to Ft. Worth where Mike got his M.Div. from TCU’s Brite Divinity School in 1993.

After a few years in Oregon, the Grogans moved to Kentucky where Kerry attended Lexington Theological Seminary, receiving her M.Div. in 1999.  After Kerry graduated, she and Mike co-pastored churches in Kansas and Washington.  Kerry has been at Lake Washington Christian Church in Kirkland, Washington for 8 years.

So that’s the official info in third person part, now for a personal note!  Some of my joys in ministry are preaching, bringing creativity to worship, working with youth and young people, and providing opportunities for spiritual growth and nurture.  I am passionate about God’s call to justice and have worked with Anti-Racism/Reconciliation teams and small groups at the congregational, regional and national level.

Some of my joys in life are reading, attempting crosswords, hiking, singing, playing the piano, and travel.

Mike and I have two young adult children.  Annie – 21, is a Religious Studies Major and Micah – 19, is a Sports Communications major; both are students at Bethany, a Disciples’ college in West Virginia.
